At Hempy Longstocking, we know life can hit hard. This page explains how our
50% Fixed-Income & Disability Hardship Discount and our
15% off “Heroes” Discount for First Responders & Veterans work,
including how to verify your eligibility without sending us sensitive or restricted documents.
1. Hardship Discount (50% Off for Fixed Income or Disability)
If you are on fixed income or receive disability benefits and our products genuinely
help your quality of life, you may qualify for our 50% Hardship Discount. This program is intended for
individuals who depend on long-term or permanent disability income or retirement/fixed-income programs.
Hardship Discount: Approved customers receive a special coupon code for
50% off eligible Hempy Longstocking products. We may review eligibility periodically and
ask for re-verification to keep the program sustainable.
How to Request the 50% Fixed-Income or Disability Hardship Discount

- Your full name
- The email address you use (or will use) on our website
- A brief explanation (2–4 sentences) confirming you are on fixed income or disability
- Whether your situation is permanent or long-term
- Required Verification (Properly Redacted):
To prevent fraud and keep the 50% hardship program available for those who truly need it, one piece
of non-sensitive proof is required. Do not send full SSNs, claim numbers,
unredacted IDs, or medical records.You may provide one of the following, with all sensitive information fully covered:
- SSDI or SSI Award Letter
– Must show your name and benefit type only. Redact SSN, claim numbers, barcodes, and addresses. - VA Disability Benefits Summary
– Must show name and status only. Redact claim numbers and SSN. - Proof of Fixed Income
– Such as a Social Security retirement statement or pension/retirement income document. Show your
name and benefit type; redact account numbers and SSN. - State Disability or Long-Term Disability Insurance Statement
– Must show name and benefit type only; redact policy numbers and personal identifiers.
Please only send documents you are legally allowed to share, and ensure they are properly redacted to protect your privacy.

Renewal may be required every 6–12 months. We may request updated verification when needed.
All approvals, denials, and limitations are at Hempy Longstocking’s sole discretion.
2. First Responder & Veteran “Heroes” Discount – 15% Off
As a thank-you for your service, we offer a standing 15% discount for:
- Active and retired military members
- Veterans
- Police, sheriffs, state troopers, and other law enforcement
- Firefighters and EMS/paramedics
Heroes Discount: Eligible customers receive a personal coupon code for
15% off qualifying purchases. This discount is:
- For personal use only (non-transferable)
- Limited to one account per person
- Not valid on wholesale orders
- Not stackable with other sales or promotions unless explicitly stated
How to Verify Your Status (Without Oversharing)
To keep things simple and affordable, verification is handled manually by email.
Please do not send highly sensitive documents.

- Whether you are military, veteran, or first responder (and which type)
- Send one of the following (with sensitive data covered):
- A photo of your work ID, badge, or ID card showing your name and
organization/branch, with any ID numbers, barcodes, or addresses covered. - A screenshot of an online portal or pay stub showing your name and
agency or branch, with SSN and account numbers blacked out. - For veterans: a VA ID, a state driver’s license with a veteran designation, or redacted
discharge paperwork (DD-214) with all SSNs, service numbers, and barcodes removed.

ask for re-verification.
3. What Not to Send Us
To protect both you and us from unnecessary risk or regulatory issues,
please do not email any of the following:
- Full Social Security numbers
- Full driver’s license numbers or barcode/magnetic stripe images
- Bank statements, credit card numbers, or routing/account numbers
- Complete medical records or detailed medical documentation
- Unredacted DD-214 or discharge papers showing sensitive identifiers
- Any document containing sensitive government identifiers
If we receive a document that appears too sensitive, we may delete it without processing and request a
properly redacted version.
4. How We Use & Store Your Information
We use your information only to confirm eligibility and assign your discount code.
We do not sell your information.
- Verification emails are kept only as long as reasonably necessary
- Access is limited to staff reviewing your request
- Overly sensitive documents may be deleted and requested again in redacted form

5. Preventing Abuse
We want these discounts to reach those who truly need and deserve them. To protect the integrity of the
program:
- We may require updated verification periodically
- We may limit discounted order frequency
- We may revoke eligibility if misuse is suspected
All eligibility decisions are at Hempy Longstocking’s sole discretion.
6. Program Changes & Legal Note
The Hardship & Heroes Discount Program is a voluntary courtesy. We may modify or discontinue the program,
change discount amounts, or adjust eligibility at any time without prior notice.
