Short for Cannabidiol, CBD is a non-intoxicating member of the phyto cannabinoid family of chemical compounds derived from the cannabis plant.
Phyto-Cannabinoids can be found in hops, pine needles and hemp - not exclusive to cannabis. Our body makes cannabinoids called endocannabinoids that act within the endocannabinoid system. At least 100 cannabinoids have been isolated from cannabis, the most common being Cannabidiol (CBD), Cannabinol (CBN), Cannabigerol (CBG) and TetrahydroCannabinol (THC).
Delta 8 is a minor cannabinoid and isomer of the Delta 9 thc cannabinoid. It occurs in small amounts naturally in cannabis, and offers a more mellow entourage without the anxiety and paranoia usually produced by Delta 9 thc. It is considered a semi sedative in quantity and has been known to reduce pain and nausea symptoms.
Because Delta 8 is an isomer it is legal at the Federal level under the farm bill of 2018. Delta 8 may be illegal at your state level so please check before purchasing and consuming D8 products.
Delta 9 as previously described occurs in more abundance in cannabis plants and has a more potent sedative effect than Delta 8 with a more intense pain and nausea fighting property. Delta 9 is legal under the federal farm bill so long as it is no more than .3% d9 thc
THCv or Tetrahydrocannabivarin, is a rare minor compound in cannabis that offers a unique array of effects and medical benefits that sets it apart from other cannabinoids like THC and CBD. For more information for its health benefits please click the link below.
The Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, signed into law by President Donald Trump on Dec. 20, 2018, removed hemp from the federal list of controlled substances and redefined the plant as an agricultural commodity. It also says states can't pass laws that interfere with the right to transport lawfully produced hemp in interstate commerce. Hemp-derived CBD is federally legal in all 50 states.
The government classifies hemp as any plant of the cannabis family that contains less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC. The hemp flower and CBD we sell meets this .3% Delta 9 THC limit. Please check your local and state laws to insure they are not in conflict with Federal law .
Our manufacturing is split between different sites in MI, NC and CO. Our Delta 8 Products come from different manufacturing centers than our Full Spectrum, CBN, THCv and THC Free products. One reason we do this is to keep our more potent products from cross contaminating our standard products. While there is THC in our Full Spectrum products there is a much lower level than our more potent THC products. We make every effort to ensure product safety and compliance to ensure that what you order is what you get. We do not allow for packaging of our potency products at the same time and often on different days than our non psychoactive products.
Hempy Longstocking brand hemp has been tested at harvest and conforms to the legal limit of .3% Delta 9 THC on a dry weight basis. You can consume hemp flower in many ways. One favorite way is to grind up 1 tea spoon worth of flower and place it into a reusable tea infuser and mix it with your favorite coffee or tea. Use a high energy strain for daytime and a relaxation strain for nighttime enjoyment. I personally just put some in my water bottle and let it leech into my water.
If your feeling like a snack? Why not bake it into some bread, or pastries, or grind it and mix it with your meat dishes? Frosted Lime, tacos! You can also eat the flower whole and wash it down with your favorite beverage. Many users like to smoke hemp flowers in many different ways to enjoy the tastes and smells offered by the plant.
